8/23/2012 - HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- Hanscom Primary and Middle schools are part of the Lincoln Public School District and students in grades 9-12 attend Bedford High School, part of the Bedford Public School District. The school calendars will vary. Important dates:
Feb. 18-22: All schools closed
March 6: PK-5 parent conferences from 1:30 to 4 p.m.
March 8: BHS closed
March 11: HPS and HMS PTO meeting at 8:15 a.m.
March 13: PK-5 parent conferences from 1:30 to 4 p.m.
March 14: HPS and HMS family reading event from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
March 21: BHS college fair at 6:30 p.m.
March 27: PK-5 parent conferences from 1:30 to 4 p.m.
March 29: HPS and HMS closed
MCAS testing:
School attendance is critical during MCAS testing. Parents are asked not to schedule appointments for their children during school hours on the following days.
March 19: BHS 10th grade English/Language Arts Composition session A and B
March 21: BHS 10th grade Reading Comprehension session 1 and 2
March 22: BHS 10th grade Reading Comprehension session 3
March 28: BHS English/Language Arts
March 19: HMS Grades 4 and 7 English/Language Arts Long Composition

School Notes:
Phone-a-thon
The annual Dollars For Scholars phone-a-thon for the Bedford Citizens' Scholarship Foundation will be held March 2 and 3. The drive will benefit Bedford High School graduates from the Bedford and Hanscom communities. BHS student volunteers will use the business telephones of MITRE Corp. to seek pledges. This phone-a-thon is the major fundraiser for CSF scholarships. All awards are based on merit, with amount determined by need.
