For after school activities, please make sure your child knows they will need to walk home.

Transportation Rules and Safety

Safety and security on our buses is a priority. Discipline referrals may result in suspension of bus privileges. Please discuss proper bus behavior (below) with your child in order to ensure that he/she retains the privilege of riding the bus.

BUS RULES

Please go over these rules with your child/ren.

Always stay seated on the bus
Do not stand, whether on knees or on feet, on the seats
Never horseplay, fight, and/or trip another student
Sharp objects are not allowed (i.e., pencils, protractors) unless they are in pencil holders
Excessive loudness or noise is not permitted
Eating and drinking are not allowed Includes gum, candy, lollipops, sodas, etc.
Profanity or rude language is not allowed
Do not litter Do not destroy or tamper with bus property
Do not extend any parts of the body from the bus windows
Treat the driver with respect

PROCEDURES UTILIZED IN DEALING WITH DISCIPLINE PROBLEMS ON THE BUS.

First Offense-Student will be counseled by the administrator about questionable conduct on the bus.
Second Offense-Parents will be notified.
Third Offense-Student will be suspended from riding the bus for a specified number of days, depending on the severity of the offense.
Fourth Offense-Student may lose bus privileges for the remainder of the school year.

Note: The principal may exercise professional discretion for any incident requiring a disciplinary action.
