Marines at 5,000 Frames Per Second

(U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Tyler Main — Blur illustration added)

Whether firing weapons, blowing things up or taking down opponents in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program, Marines strive to be the best in all they do. Sometimes, though, to truly capture the moments of greatness, you have to slow things down a little. Take a look at a few collected moments of Marines in action – all in slow motion: sllloooooowwwww mmmmmmooootttiiiooooon.

Be sure to tell us what else you’d like to see in slow motion in the comments section.

The camera was actually loaned to the Marine team here for free by Olympus. We appreciate your concern for the allocation of government funding.

I was in the Marine Corps from 1962-1966. Stationed at Camp Lejuene North Carolina, 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment. The saying “Once A Marine Always A Marine” holds True. Sites like this one help me see how well they are trained. During the Cuban Missle Crisis I was a little scared at first but being fresh out of Advanced Combat Training at Camp Geiger I thought about all the good Combat Training I had had and the fear disappeared.
