Executive Resources Management Division

ERMD supports the Office of Human Resources Management in the administration of human resources policies for the Department’s executive level employees: Senior Executive Service (SES) members, Senior Level (SL), Scientific and Professional (ST) employees, Senior Scientific Research Service (SSRS), and political appointees. ERMD also provides HR support to Office of the Secretary employees, works closely with the Secretary’s Office on various policy initiatives affecting executive employees, and serves as the liaison between the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and other Federal Departments.
