WRF/CHEM: Workshop Announcement

We want to draw your attention to the upcoming WRF workshop coming-up in June of this year.

The 2007 WRF Users Workshop is scheduled for 11-14 June (Monday-Thursday) (Less than 2 months away!). There will be a day set aside for working group meetings (Monday), so we want to encourage all WRF/Chem users to plan on attending that day as well as the rest of the workshop. If you have not done so yet, please consider submitting an abstract/paper or two by the 20 April 2007 deadline.

For more information about the workshop, go to: http://www.mmm.ucar.edu/events/2007_wrfusers/index.php

The WRF/Chem working group is planning on having at least 2 meetings.

  • The first meeting is to review the code development progress, as well as discuss the future direction of work and any concerns that any of the WRF/Chem user group have.
  • The second meeting will be a joint meeting with the Physics working group (WG5). This meeting will focus on parameterizations that allow for interaction between microphysics and chemistry. This will possibly be an important area for future developments, and it is possible that significant interest currently exists for the development of a new working group related to this topic.

The meetings are open to anyone who wishes to attend, so don't be shy about showing-up!

The time for the meetings on Monday has not been set yet, but we will let you know as soon as that a time and place is available.
