The new bridge is being constructed in accordance with the US Corps of Engineers specifications for the Rio Nigua Flood Control Project. The construction of the new bridge and the removal of the old one is the responsibility of the state government. The old bridge creates funnel effect on the water flow, causing the overflow of the river, and subsequent flooding of the town of Salinas. Currently lobbying at government agencies for the removal of the old bridge over Rio Nigua as a mitigation of floods in Salinas, PR Repeating Event Mar 1st 9:00am to Mar 30th 5:00pm The PR Department of Transportation and Public Works, and the Highway Authority are constructing a new bridge over Rio Nigua in Salinas due to the bad condition of the old bridge. The new bridge is being constructed in accordance with the US Corps of Engineers specifications for the Rio Nigua Flood Control Project. The construction of the new bridge and the removal of the old one is the responsibility of the state government. The old bridge creates funnel effect on the water flow, causing the overflow of the river, and subsequent flooding of the town of Salinas. Currently lobbying at government agencies for the removal of the old bridge over Rio Nigua as a mitigation of floods in Salinas, PR Repeating Event Mar 1st 9:00am to Mar 30th 5:00pm The PR Department of Transportation and Public Works, and the Highway Authority are constructing a new bridge over Rio Nigua in Salinas due to the bad condition of the old bridge. The new bridge is being constructed in accordance with the US Corps of Engineers specifications for the Rio Nigua Flood Control Project. The construction of the new bridge and the removal of the old one is the responsibility of the state government. The old bridge creates funnel effect on the water flow, causing the overflow of the river, and subsequent flooding of the town of Salinas. CAP conducts 90% of search/ rescue missions for the USAF & flew 42 search/ rescue missions w/ 31 finds in MD & performs homeland security & disaster relief missions for federal, state & local agencies. CAP's Cadet Program allows youth 12-18 to progress self-paced in program of aviation, leadership training & physical fitness. Cadets compete for academic scholarships in engineering, science, aircraft mechanics, aerospace medicine, meteorology & others. There is no military obligation,but, if a Cadet joins the military they may enter at a higher rank. If its flight training, computers, communications, photography, survival training, astronomy-there's a place for you in CAP. Currently lobbying at government agencies for the removal of the old bridge over Rio Nigua as a mitigation of floods in Salinas, PR Repeating Event Mar 1st 9:00am to Mar 30th 5:00pm The PR Department of Transportation and Public Works, and the Highway Authority are constructing a new bridge over Rio Nigua in Salinas due to the bad condition of the old bridge. The new bridge is being constructed in accordance with the US Corps of Engineers specifications for the Rio Nigua Flood Control Project. The construction of the new bridge and the removal of the old one is the responsibility of the state government. The old bridge creates funnel effect on the water flow, causing the overflow of the river, and subsequent flooding of the town of Salinas. The Comite Rio Nigua is lobbying to convince the state government of the need to remove the old bridge upon completion of the new one.
