Nellis AFB, an integral part of Air Combat Command and known as the "Home of the Fighter Pilot," is the pinnacle of advanced air combat aviation training. Nellis' work force of approximately 12,000 military and civilian personnel makes it one of the largest single employers in southern Nevada.
