Assisted Acquisition Services

The Acquisition Services Directorate is uniquely positioned to provide acquisition lifecycle management services in a fully electronic environment to a diverse set of clients at locations throughout the world. AQD is accountable through the use of strong policies and procedures, cost effective operations, and a flexible, well-trained workforce. The organization collects and reports performance metrics that demonstrate AQD capabilities in providing acquisition support to customers.

Description of Service

Information Technology Systems and Service Contracts Supplies and service related to computers, computer software, information services, telecommunications, management information systems, as well as managed service provider contracts required for cloud computing initiatives. Includes any electronic demands to convert, store, protect, process, transmit, and retrieve information.
Non-IT Service Contracts Administration of contracts in the area of management and consultation services. Includes a wide range of service-oriented procurement activities for facilities planning, physical security, guard services, as well as accounting and financial auditing services.
Technology Research and Development Contracts Administration of contracts in engineering and manufacturing fields. Includes services dedicated to the creation of innovative solutions in advanced technologies, and identifying technology breakthroughs to incorporate into product designs and future systems.
Supplies Contracts Wide range of equipment and material resource planning initiatives. Evaluate and negotiate favorable terms for commercial market products by way of large volume transactions and bulk purchasing programs.
Aviation Service Contracts Support of aviation missions that require distinctive flight skills including wild land fire suppression efforts, wildlife capture and research, natural resource management, search and rescue operations, law enforcement, oil and gas production oversight, non-combat testing and scientific research. Additional expertise includes professional aviation program management, technical aviation services, training, safety programs, accident investigation, and contract compliance inspections.
Financial Agreement Contracts Financial agreements designed to encourage entities (contractors and consortia) that normally do not engage with the government to participate in research and development activities for economic stimulus. AQD and IBC provide awards and business services for Federal grants, cooperative agreements, and similar transactions.
Facility Leasing Service Contracts Administration of leased facilities and office space for IBC and DOI clients. Includes acquisition planning and estimates for space needs, expert lease negotiations, and overall lease administration.
