Synopsis:
At 2 a.m. today, the center of Tropical Storm "EMONG" was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 100 kms East Southeast of Tuguegarao City (17.3°N, 122.6°E) with maximum sustained winds of 95 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 120 kph. It is forecast to move Northeast at 15 kph.

Forecast:
Cagayan and Isabela will experience stormy weather while Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Aurora, Calayan and Babuyan Islands will have rains and gusty winds with moderate to rough seas. The rest of Luzon will be cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming widespread rains over the Western section of Southern Luzon which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Western Visayas will be mostly cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast to Northwest will prevail over the rest of Northern Luzon and coming from the Northwest to Southwest over the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate blowing from the Southwest to Southeast with slight to moderate seas.
