Carl Buckley (3 weeks ago)  Reply

What is the Qualification on A Trailer During a Server Thunderstorm and or During a Tornado where and what is the Safest Place to go when a Tornado Hits?My main reason is to keep every body safe when living in a Trailer same way with Fire Safety on how to stay Safe during bad times of Fatal Trailer Fires. We Need to think about this Who,What,Where, and when Disaster Strikes is the main Key to Preparedness that's why we always take Precaution before a Disaster does Strike and how are we going to be Prepared and Safe.

With regard to Fire Safety in a mobile home, I would say the following:

1. Ensure you have ample and operable smoke alarms.

2. Test the smoke alarms monthly.

3. Replace the smoke alarm batteries in the Spring and in the Fall.

4. Be careful with smokers materials. Don't empty ashtrays into the   garbage without first soaking the ashes and butts with water.

5. Don't leave the kitchen unattended when cooking.

6. Rmember electrical extension cords are only for temporary usage. Don't overload them, run them under carpets or furniture and Do Not by pass the ground plug.

With regard to extreme weather, one needs to plan ahead.

Ensure you have  telephone numbers of family members so to advise them of the situation and the plan of action.

One needs to stay aware of local conditions and seek safety in a community shelter before conditions become too dangerous to travel.
