Special Services
The Fort Stewart School system provides a free and appropriate education to each special needs student within its jurisdiction regarless of the nature or severity of the disability. It is the intent of this school district to ensure that all special needs students are identified, evaluated, and provided with appropriate service, beginning at age 3. Students who may need additional remedial academic assistance are referred to the Student Support Team (SST) to determine how best to meet their needs. Special instruction may be provided to selected students who are referred. Parents are included in all decision-making processess regarding their child.
