Thank you SGM Gills for that great introduction. Good morning, everyone. Thank you for the opportunity to take a few minutes to talk to you today. To all the general officers, senior commanders, fellow sergeants majors, Army civilians, and of course, our Soldiers who are here today who took part in this forum. You will make a difference. It's truly an honor to be here to talk about something that is important to all of us; something that can destroy the morale and cohesion of a unit faster than anything else you can imagine, and that's Sexual Harassment and Sexual Assault.

Sgt. Maj. of the Army Raymond F. Chandler III speaks to participants at this year's Sexual Harassment and Assault Response and Prevention Summit in Washington D.C. March 29. During his speech, Chandler called for more engaged leadership, especially at the junior noncommissioned officer levels, to intervene, act and motivate to help prevent sexual harassment and assault.
