Communications

The Federal Railroad Administration Office of Communications is the primary link between the agency and reporters, the public and others who have an interest in our nation's rail network. The Office of Communications provides policy, management and execution of agency communications, including:

The FRA Safety Data  site was established for the purpose of making railroad safety information readily available to a broad constituency which includes FRA personnel, railroad companies, research and planning organizations and the public, in general.  You can obtain railroad safety information including accidents and incidents, inspections and highway-rail crossing data. From this site users can run dynamic queries, download a variety of safety database files, publications and forms, and view current statistical information on railroad safety.
