Adolescent Clinic

Hours of Operation:  9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday

The clinic assists teenagers with adolescent issues and health concerns. No referral is required.

Allergy Clinic

Location:  Main Floor

This clinic provides diagnostic evaluation and treatment for patients with respiratory allergy diseases, hives, and eczema, reactions to foods, medications, and insect stings. Patients need a referral to access this clinic.

Blood Donor Center

Location: 2nd Floor
Hours of Operation: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday - Friday.  Walk-ins accepted, however appointments are recommended.

The Wright-Patterson Medical Center is an important contributor of whole blood and blood products to the Armed Forces Blood Program. Please visit the Blood Donor Center Web Site to make an appointment or for more information at http://wpmc1.wpafb.af.mil/blood_donor/  

Note a picture ID is required for all donations. Wright-Patterson Medical Center Forms 6551 and 6551-a must be completed for autologous blood collection. A physician's order is required for therapeutic phlebotomy and expires six months after the date signed. Please call the donor center for questions concerning bone marrow donations.

Cardiology

The cardiology department offers comprehensive clinical evaluation and treatment for a wide range of cardiac conditions. Our diagnostic department has both invasive and non-invasive capability. Referrals are required. 

Chiropractic Clinic

Hours of Operation: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday

Care is directed at the treatment of spinal subluxation by spinal adjustment. Authorized for active duty members only. Referrals are booked through the appointment line (937) 522-APPT(2778) .

Self-referral is authorized based on appointment availability & specific criteria, call clinic directly to inquire.

Dental Clinic

Dermatology

The Dermatology Clinic provides diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions for patients with a disease not directly associated with trauma. Patients do need a referral.

ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat)

The ENT clinic specializes in surgical care for disorders of the head and neck and does require a referral.

Endocrinology

Hours of Operation:  7: 30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday

Endocrinologists are physicians who specialize in disorders of endocrine glands. They evaluate and treat patients with thyroid disorders, adrenal gland disorders, pituitary gland problems and metabolic abnormalities such as diabetes or calcium regulation. A referral is required for this clinic.

Family Advocacy

The mission of the Family Advocacy Program (FAP) is to build healthy Air Force communities by developing, implementing, and evaluating policies and programs to prevent, intervene in, and treat child and spouse maltreatment.

Flight Medicine Clinic

The Flight Medicine Clinic provides total routine care for aircrew members and their dependents. Flight Surgeons also provide routine care to those in special operations duty, such as air traffic controllers.

Hematology/Oncology Clinic

Hours of Operation:  7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday

The Hematology/Oncology clinic specializes in treatment of blood diseases and disorders as well as cancer-linked diseases. Referrals are required.

Immunization Clinic

Hours of Operation:  7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday 
                                      
   Exceptions:
      First Thursday of every month - closed after noon 
      Smallpox Vaccinations given only on Friday: 8 a.m. - noon 
      Yellow Fever vaccine is given every Friday from 9 a.m. to 10: a.m.

This is a walk-in clinic. Active duty patients have priority.

All immunizations are given during normal duty hours except:
   - PPD or TB skin tests are performed every day except Thursday or Friday if Monday is a holiday. 
   - Patients must be medically cleared by Force Health Management and their Primary Care Doctor prior to receiving their Smallpox vaccination. 
   - Allergy injections are given Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:40 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Patients are recommended to wait in the clinic after receiving immunizations for 15 minutes. After receiving Japanese Encephalitis, a patient must wait 30 minutes in the clinic.

Note that the Pediatric Clinic offers immunizations during each appointment. In addition, immunizations are also offered on a walk-in basis. Pediatric Clinic hours are 8-11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m., Mon.-Fri. 
(except holidays or down days).  For pediatric immunizations questions call the Pediatric Clinic at 257-6991 or 522-4731.  

Infectious Disease Clinic

Hours of Operation:  7: 30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday - Friday

This clinic provides services for patients with infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, latent tuberculosis infection, osteomyelitis, and other infections. Referral is required. The clinic also advises international travelers on issues pertaining to malaria chemoprophylaxis, immunizations, and traveler's diarrhea. Referral for travel clinic is not required; travelers should contact the clinic directly.

Internal Medicine

Hours of Operation:  7: 30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday

The Internal Medicine Clinic offers outpatient care to active duty members, their dependents, and retirees. A consult is needed in order to obtain an appointment in the clinic. For those who are stationed at Wright-Patterson, your primary provider will make a referral if your condition warrants an evaluation by an internist. If you are PCS'ing to Wright-Patterson and are under the care of an internist at another facility, request that your physician write a consult so that we may continue to provide quality care.

Laboratory Services

Hours of Operation: 7 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday

The Wright-Patterson Medical Center Laboratory oversees specimen collection and phlebotomy services for all active duty, retirees and their dependents. Services include: laboratory services for outside providers on tests performed in-house and at military reference laboratories; bleeding times on adults and pediatric patients; glucose tolerance testing; and coordination of special studies.

Medical Care for Minors

(Parental Consent) Children under the age of 18 years usually cannot be treated medically without parental consent. Parents can designate a third party (caregiver, relative, etc.) to authorize care for their children. This is especially important for military parents who travel frequently.

The medical center is required by law to deny non-emergency care to minors. An "Authorization for Medical Care" is available in the Outpatient and Pediatric records sections for parents to designate another adult to "consent for care" for their children for use at this Medical Center only.

Mental Health Clinic

The Mental Health Clinic offers outpatient care to active duty personnel, retirees, and their family members. Inpatient care, if necessary, will be arranged using local resources.

The center provides adult, adolescent, and child evaluation and treatment of psychiatric and emotional disorders. Other services include Neuropsychology, Biofeedback, and Medical Social Work.
