U.S. Citizens Services
The American Citizen Services (ACS) Unit serves the American community in the Philippines. Approximately 130,000 U.S. citizens reside in the country, and several hundred thousand Americans visit the Philippines each year for business and pleasure. The ACS Unit issues passports and reports of birth and death for Americans in the Philippines, as well as providing notarial services. ACS also assists U.S. citizens in distress, such as those arrested or destitute. It maintains a list of doctors, dentists and attorneys for reference.
Online Appointments for Passports, Reports of Birth Abroad, Derivative Citizenship for Adults, and Notarials
In order to better serve you, the American Citizen Services unit now accepts all routine passport and Reports of Birth Abroad applications and offers all notarial services only through an online appointment system. This allows us to plan and adjust for fluctuating demand and will make for a smoother, more predictable visit to the embassy. This new system will also cut down on the time you spend in the embassy waiting rooms! Please read the passport, Reports of Birth Abroad and Derivative Citizenship, notary (including mortuary certificate), or legal capacity to marry page before booking your appointment.
