Students attending this multi-modal course will be instructed on the hazardous materials regulations of 49 CFR for highway, rail, aircraft, and vessel, the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code for vessel shipments, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Technical Instructions (along with the industry standards issued in the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Dangerous Goods Regulations) for commercial air shipments. This course will also include instruction on how to ship hazmat via Military Air.
Who Should Attend?
Military, contract and industry personnel who ship, carry or otherwise handle hazardous material shipments intended to travel by commercial aircraft, vessel or ground transportation and those subject to AFMAN 24-204(i).
It is recommended that you do not make any travel arrangements for this class until three weeks prior to the class date. If for any reason it is necessary to reschedule the class, we will notify you by that time.
