This course focuses on accident investigations relating to passenger and crew safety within the aircraft cabin. Specific topics to be covered include what to look for in a cabin safety investigation and how to document wreckage and injuries found at the accident scene. A "hands-on" exercise using a Boeing 747 aircraft will be included in the course. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) including applicable support personnel, National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), and industry participation in an aircraft accident investigation, including NTSB "party status" will also be examined.
