Finance Office
Military pay, travel and disbursing services are offered by 8th Finance Battalion in Wiesbaden and is located in Building 1023 West on Wiesbaden Army Airfield.
Army Emergency Relief
Army Emergency Relief (AER) is a private non-profit organization incorporated in 1942 by the Secretary of War and the Army Chief of Staff. AER's mission is to provide emergency financial assistance. AER can help with emergency financial needs for food, rent or utilities; emergency transportation and vehicle repair; funeral expenses; medical/dental expenses; personal needs when pay is delayed or stolen; and give undergraduate-level education scholarships, based primarily on financial need, to spouses of soldiers. If you need financial assistance, AER may be able to provide you with an instant-free loan, grant or combination of both. In Dexheim, call mil 334‑5716 or Wiesbaden call civ (0611) 408‑0754/ 0400. Banking
Community Bank offers a full range of banking services at Wiesbaden Army Airfield, Hainerberg Housing and Mainz-Kastel. Community Bank ATM machines are located at WAAF, Hainerberg and Mainz-Kastel. Andrews Federal Credit Union has a branch office at WAAF and operates ATM machines at WAAF and the Hainerberg Shopping Center. Americans can establish a bank account with German banks or Sparkasse.
Consumer Affairs and Financial Assistance Programs (CAFAP)
The Army Community Service's Consumer Affairs and Financial Assistance Program offers help in a variety of ways. Classes are held regularly on topics such as budgeting, check writing, handling credit wisely and other financial matters. Individual financial counseling is also available.
