What inspires you
: The success or achievement I see in someone when they are recognized for either a job well done or performing above and beyond normal levels, motivates me to improve myself and help others improve.

Future goals: I have applied for my masters degree with Embry Riddle, and to continue assisting personnel in my unit in their success at the same time.

Greatest accomplishment: Completing my Air Force career of 23 years 8 months and achieving an annual outstanding performance rating in every year of my career.

Hobbies, off-duty interests: I enjoy playing basketball with son, chess, and a good "ole" Bar-B-Que.

Reason for submission: Jim leads Sheppard's passenger travel section, serving over 12,000 customers annually. Jim works in conjunction with 82nd TRW and 80th FTW protocol offices to ensure that wing leadership is kept abreast of aircraft arrival and departure times. As a retired senior NCO, he continually strives to improve himself and was recently completed his Bachelor's Degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Commander's comments:
Rarely does a commander have an opportunity to publicly acknowledge a person of Mr. Branch's caliber. Although he is retired from active duty, Mr. Branch still embodies Air Force Core Values, which he instills in his team by his daily actions. A true member of the team, he is always willing to step up to the plate, wherever and whenever required..."NO" is not in his vocabulary. I'm proud to nominate him for the Commander's Wingman of Choice Award. - Maj. Sam Payne, 82nd LRS commander
