Comment Policy

As you read the DigitalGov blog, we encourage you to share your thoughts as they relate to the topic being discussed. The views expressed in comments reflect those of the commenter, not the official views of the U.S. General Services Administration or the federal government.

We expect comments to be courteous, and we reserve the right to not post comments that are inconsistent with our policy.
We will not post comments that:
  • Contain obscene, indecent, or profane language;
  • Contain threats or defamatory statements;
  • Contain hate speech directed at race, color, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, ethnicity, age, religion, or disability; or
  • Promote or endorse services or products. (Non-commercial links that are relevant to the topic or another comment are acceptable.)

Copyrighted and other proprietary material should not be posted or submitted in any form unless permission to do so is clearly indicated. In posting his or her own comments or other work, a commenter grants GSA and anyone viewing the GSA web site irrevocable permission to copy, distribute, make derivatives, display or perform the commenter’s work publicly and free-of-charge.

Reporters are asked to send questions to the GSA Public Affairs Office through their normal channels, rather than submitting questions here as comments.

To post a comment, you’ll see that we ask you to provide your name (or a username) and e-mail address. We request your name to make it easier to carry on a conversation. For this reason, we publish your name along with your comment. We ask for your e-mail address so that we can contact you if necessary. It is our policy not to publish your e-mail address.

To protect your privacy, do not include any information in your comment (e.g., your e-mail address or phone number) that could be used to identify you.

You may also want to read our Site Policies to learn more about how we protect your privacy and personal information.

Thank you for taking the time to read this comment policy. We encourage your participation in our discussions and look forward to an active exchange of ideas.
