Career Center: A complete set of professional tools for exploring VA career opportunities matched to a Veteran's military background, experience and strengths. Available to Military Service Members, VA Veteran employees and Veterans through the VA for Vets website.
 
Coach: A key point of contact available and ready to answer questions and provide support related to deployment and reintegration and career planning.
 
Department of Veterans Affairs (VA): The federal agency that provides healthcare, career, education, financial and other services to Veterans and their families.
 
Military Service Member: A National Guard or Reserve member.
 
Veteran: A former member of the military.
 
VA for Vets: A comprehensive program that helps Veterans launch or advance their civilian careers at VA.
 
Veteran Employment Coordination Services (VECS): A network of Regional Veteran Employment Coordinators (RVEC) who provide VA employment, particularly to severely injured veterans from Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom.
 
Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E): A program that assists Veterans with service-connected disabilities independent living as well as job preparation and support.
