Join the South Central MIRECC

Thank you for your interest in the SC MIRECC. We offer two types of faculty affiliations with our organization: Core Affiliate and Affiliate. Faculty may be located at any site within VISN 16, but are usually located at our anchor sites in Houston, Little Rock, New Orleans and Oklahoma City. We encourage research investigators interested in joining the SC MIRECC to contact their nearest SC MIRECC Associate Director. Levels of SC MIRECC Involvement

Affiliate Faculty

Affiliated faculty do not receive salary support but benefit from SC MIRECC resources in other ways, such as by receiving funding for research or education projects from one of the SC MIRECC-sponsored programs. Affiliated faculty are expected to attend local meetings at anchor sites.

Core Faculty

Core faculty have at least part of their salary supported by the SC MIRECC. Core faculty appointments must be reviewed and approved by the SC MIRECC Leadership Council. Core faculty are expected to serve in administrative or research leadership roles in the SC MIRECC, provide mentoring to other SC MIRECC faculty, and attend local and key SC MIRECC-wide meetings organized by SC MIRECC leadership.
