World Bank News Release: Over One Thousand "Hackers" Find 181 New Apps to improve Access to Safe Sanitation for Poor People

WASHINGTON, December 5, 2012 - More than a thousand computer programmers and other information technology specialists in 40 cities around the world developed 181 new application software, or apps, this past weekend to help improve access to safe sanitation for the 2.5 billion poor people who lack it.
