Megan Kindelan
Communications Director, Staff
Megan Kindelan is the Communications Director for the Administrative Conference of the United States. Ms. Kindelan was previously a Public Affairs Specialist for the U.S. Census Bureau, where she served as part of the integrated strategic communications team for the 2010 Census. Ms. Kindelan managed all 2010 Census messaging and talking points for internal and external stakeholders and led the Statistics in Schools program for the Census Bureau. Prior to her eight years at the Census Bureau, Ms. Kindelan worked in Marymount University’s Office of Alumni Relations and interned for U.S. Senator Bill Nelson (FL).
Ms. Kindelan’s areas of expertise include public relations, media training, messaging, social media outreach, event management and crisis communications. In her spare time, Ms. Kindelan is a facilitator for The George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management, where she teaches online courses for students obtaining their master’s degree in Strategic Public Relations.
After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Florida’s Honors Program with a bachelor’s degree in public relations, Ms. Kindelan earned her master’s degree in communications with a concentration in public and media relations from The Johns Hopkins University. Originally from Florida, Ms. Kindelan currently resides in the Columbia Heights neighborhood of Washington, D.C.
