The FCC’s Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau (PSHSB) held a Speaker Series event to discuss the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) role in improving public safety communications.
The event focused on NIST’s role in developing and implementing standards for public safety communications and its partnership with PSHSB’s Emergency Response Interoperability Center (ERIC). Dereck Orr, Program Manager for Public Safety Communications in NIST’s Office of Law Enforcement Standards, was the featured speaker.
