Course Overview

Contingency Engineering is focused on the strategic basing, master planning, installation facilities, and project initiation through post-construction turnover from base through theater level. In order to understand that, it's important to know who the engineers in theater are, their command and control, and their roles and responsibilities.

Numerous engineer considerations are included such as funding, acquisition of engineer services and facilities, environmental, reachback, troop construction, and tools to accomplish the mission. This is not a Construction Management nor a Combat Engineer-focused course.
