THE EMPOWERMENT PROJECT: TENTH AMENDMENT RETURNS POWER TO THE PEOPLE

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Randy Neugebauer (R-TX) released the third episode of The Empowerment Project today, featuring Congressman Rob Bishop (R-UT) and the 10th Amendment Task Force:

“Over the past several years we’ve seen a massive expansion of the federal government through one-size-fits-all policies, the creation of new federal agencies, record breaking deficits, and numerous bailouts of private businesses.

“Our Constitution calls for the power to be put in the people, not in the government. To get our nation back on the track of empowerment, we must limit the involvement of the federal government and return the powers granted by the 10th Amendment to the people. We want to empower the American people to take their place in governing this nation. The 10th Amendment doesn’t support a government run from the top down.  It ensures a government run from the bottom up, by the people.

“The 10th Amendment Task Force serves as a tool to point out to Members of Congress and the public how various pieces of legislation move us away from what the Founders originally intended and how we’re in violation of the spirit of the 10th Amendment.”

Congressman Rob Bishop, along with Congressman Neugebauer, is one of the 10 original founders of the 10th Amendment Task Force:

“There are some things the federal government should do here in Washington…but there are a lot of things that state and local governments and the people can do for themselves. We want to make sure that we empower that to take place.”
