First documented occurrence

Malahide marina in Malahide Estuary; eastern Ireland, north of Dublin. Didemnum vexillum colonies attached to boat hulls, pontoons, mussels, chains, ropes, buoys, and seaweed. Photographed on yacht hull in June 2005. Recognized as a species of Didemnum at the marina on October 12, 2005. Collected by D. Minchin and E. Sides; identified by G. Lambert. See Minchin and Sides, 2006, Aquatic Invastions, p. 143-147.
