Description

This course provides O-5/GS-14, Level-III PM Career Field acquisition professionals with the latest acquisition policies and proven practices in the areas of Requirements, Acquisition, Finance, and Technical Management. Additionally, students will have an opportunity to examine and discuss key program manager skills and lessons learned and develop a plan for strengthening their skills for program success.

Objectives

Relate the influences of recent changes in acquisition laws, regulations, policies and objectives to their organization and their role in the organization.

Given presentations, case studies, and facilitated discussions of best practices on the topics of Capability Integration, Business Management, Technical Management, and Leadership, recognize changes/improvements applicable to their self and their organization.

Synthesize Capability Integration, Business Management, Technical Management, and Leadership lessons learned and experience sharing into a plan for three changes in their organization to achieve an increased level of performance

Defend their plan for change as being feasible to a small group of peers (learning team).

PMT 352B, Program Management Office Course, Part B

Level III certification in program management
