USGS Scientist on Science-Museum Board in Tampa, FL
Lisa Robbins, Chief Scientist of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)'s St. Petersburg Science Center in St. Petersburg, FL, was recently elected to the Board of Directors for the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) in Tampa, FL. This science and technology center contains more than 210,00 square feet of exhibits and hands-on displays. Features include a hurricane simulator, a planetarium, and an IMAX Dome theater. The museum hosts approximately 645,000 visitors per year. Lisa will help plan future exhibits, such as one on natural disasters scheduled for completion in 2005.
