Occupational Therapy provides evaluation and treatment of patients who have difficulty in accomplishing tasks in their life roles. Occupational therapists work with people of all ages who, because of physical, developmental, social, or psychological problems, need specialized assistance to lead independent, productive and satisfying lives. At Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Occupational Therapy conducts programs for patients with orthopaedic injuries, psychological problems, and other physical conditions such as stroke, arthritis, work injuries, burns, or other serious illnesses that interfere with the person’s ability to be independent in their daily activities. The goal of Occupational Therapy treatment is for our patients to gain independence and function in daily life activities and occupations through purposeful activity.
