ANNOUNCEMENTS

Passport Issuance limitations for 2012
Due to the Olympics and Para-Olympics this summer, the U.S. Embassy will be heavily involved and will have reduced manpower. This will limit the ability for processing passport applications. Passport issuance will be very limited so if your passport is near its expiry date, apply as early as possible to get a new one.

Educational and Developmental Intervention Services Has Moved
EDIS is located in Building 955 adjacent to the dental clinic. For more information, call 226-3308.

Arts & Crafts Instructors Beeded
The Arts & Crafts Center is looking for advanced scrap-bookers, artists, card-makers and more to teach others the craft they love. If interested, call 226-2823 for more information.

New Fitness Center Hours
The fitness center hours of operation have changed and are as follows:

Monday through Thursday: 4:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Friday: 4:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Sunday: 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.

RAF Feltwell Shoppette Extended Hours
The RAF Feltwell Shoppette has extended their hours of operation to the following:

Monday through Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

New Customer Service Hours at Finance
The 48th Comptroller Squadron has new customer service hours. The customer service counter, located on the ground floor of Building 977, will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The cashier's cage, located on the second floor of Building 977, will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

New Local Police Phone Number
Local U.K. police forces can now be reached by dialing 101 for non-emergency matters, such as reporting a stolen vehicle, property damage or simply to speak with an officer. The number will be available 24/7 and will connect callers to the police station covering their area. The 999 number will still be available for emergency situations.

Department of Defense Education Activity Looking for Feedback
The DODEA is developing a new Community Strategic Plan for 2012-2016 and have launched a feedback website, http://cspfeedback.dodea.edu/ to gather opinions from parents, teachers, military leadership, children and anyone else that is interested.

Football Frenzy!
Watch football at the Liberty Club every Sunday beginning at 6 p.m. Club members have a chance to win prizes to include $50 Force Support gift cards and trips to an NFL game or the Super Bowl. For more information, call 226-1611.

Going TDY or on a trip? Need access to the internet, email or Microsoft Office without lugging around a laptop? Check out a Toshiba Notebook from the Library. SOCKS - Spouse On-Line Computer Knowledge and Skills
This is a free Airman and Family Readiness Center program designed to help spouses improve computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Photoshop and many other programs. For more information, contact the A&FRC at 226-3847 for more information.

LAKENHEATH SCHOOLS

Crosswalk Volunteers Needed

The school year has started. Help the students get to school safely! Depending on location, the crosswalks are manned from approximately 7:30 to 8:10 a.m. and 2:30 to 3:10 p.m. To volunteer, contact the school liaison office at 226-5077 or 226-5078.

JANUARY EVENTS

Chicken Wing Eating Competition

The Liberty Club is hosting a wing eating contest, Jan. 19 from 9 to 11 p.m. The entry fee is $15 per person and there will is a grand total of $300 in prizes for the top three winners. The competition is limited to the first 15 people to sign up and all participants must be 18 or older. For more information, call 226-1611.

Remember! Celebrate! Act! A Day On, Not a Day Off
There will be a MLK birthday observance luncheon held at Eagle's Landing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Jan. 20, 2012. For tickets, contact Tech. Sgt. Aleshia Berryhill, 226-1208.

Cirque du Soleil "Totem"
Join a Information, Tickets & Travel trip to see the Cirque du Soleil "Totem" performance in London, Jan. 22 and Feb. 11, 2012. Coach departs at 11 a.m. and returns after the show. Level 1 seating price is £88, all inclusive and Level 2 seating is £70. For more information, call ITT at 226-2979.

Antiques Mystery Adventure

FEBRUARY EVENTS

Super Bowl XLVI Party
The Liberty Club will be hosting the Super Bowl XLVI Party, Feb. 5. Doors open at 9 p.m. and the game begins at 11:30 p.m. Entry is free to club members and costs $5 for non-members. First half tailgate buffet is $5 per plate. Second half breakfast buffet is $5 per plate. There will be halftime prize giveaways as well. Open to adults 18 and older. Sweetheart Special
Join Outdoor Recreation for a trip to Greene King Brewery in Bury St. Edmunds, Feb. 10. The evening begins with a tour of a 200 year-old brewery followed by tastings and a meal. Price is $65 per person for ages 18 and up. The deadline to sign up is Feb. 3. Price includes transportation, tastings, tour and dinner. For more information, call 226-2146.

All Day Paintball for Single Airmen
Join Outdoor Recreation for paintballing Feb. 12. Price is $25 per single Airmen and there are 24 seats available. For more information, call 226-2146.

Holy Grail Quest
Join Outdoor Recreation Feb. 18-20 for a Holy Grail Quest to Scotland, departing at 8 a.m. Price is $345 per adult and $295 for youth under 15 years of age. The trip is open to ages 6 and up. The trip includes a visit to Doune Castle, which was shown in "Monty Python's Holy Grail" film, a climbing tour of The Wallace Monument (shown in "Braveheart") and Stirling Castle. Jurassic Coast Fossil Hunt
Join Outdoor Recreation for a fossil hunt Feb. 25-26 departing at 7 a.m. Travel to the famous fossil town of Lyme Regis for a guided fossil hunt with a professional fossil hunter.
