tabMission Statement
The 162nd Fighter Wing Minuteman Committee was established to keep the Arizona National Guard's 162nd Fighter Wing mission and all of its units in Tucson, Ariz. Committee members, consisting of Southern Arizona community and business leaders, volunteer time and resources to advocate the wing's mission to elected and appointed leaders at all levels of government. Additionally, the committee works to assist Guardsmen and their families through fund raising events. The unit's mission is to train pilots in the F-16 Fighting Falcon. Student pilots come from other Air National Guard units, the United States Air Force, and many foreign countries such as Poland, Chile, Greece, Singapore and Norway, just to name a few. This vital mission is of tremendous value to national defense, the state of Arizona and the Southern Arizona community.
