Biography
I have served in Congress since 1987, and currently serve as the Democratic Leader. I was honored to be chosen by my colleagues as the first woman Speaker of the House from 2007-2010.I have five children and eight grandchildren. Being a mother and a grandmother is the best job I can imagine.
