Photo of CSM LincolnCommand Sergeant Major Harold L. Lincoln was born in Wando, South Carolina. He graduated from Cainhoy Elementary and High School in Huger, South Carolina. In September 1987, he enlisted into the United States Army and completed his basic training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and Air Defense Artillery Advanced Individual Training at Fort Bliss, Texas. Command Sergeant Major Lincoln has held every leadership position that includes: Stinger Gunner, Stinger Team Chief,Avenger Section Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, First Sergeant,Observer/ControllerTrainer Operations Sergeant and Battalion Command Sergeant Major. 
           
CSM Lincoln has filled many demanding and challenging assignments: 2nd Battalion, 61st Air Defense Artillery Regiment, Camp Stanton, Korea; 3rd Battalion 4th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; 5th Battalion 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, Camp Hovey, Korea; 1st Battalion 189th Infantry Brigade, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; U.S. Army Personnel Command, Alexandria, Virginia; 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment (Manchu) and 1st Battalion 506th Infantry Regiment (Currahee) within the 2nd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, Iraq; and U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/U.S. Army Forces Strategic Command, Arlington, Virginia.His military education includes: Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course (Honor Graduate), Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course (Commandant’s List), First Sergeant Course, Battle Staff Course, and the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy (Class 57), Basic Airborne Course, and Jumpmaster Course. 
           
He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Liberty University. His awards and decoration include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters, the Army Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, the Army Achievement Medal with five oak leaf clusters, the Good Conduct Medals (6th Award), the National Defense Service Medals (bronze star), the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal with arrowhead, the Southwest Asia Service Medal with two bronze stars, the Kosovo Campaign Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal, the Noncommissioned Officer’s Development Ribbon with numeral 4, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbons with numeral 3, the NATO Medal (Kosovo), the Kuwait Liberation Medal for both Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, the Army Superior Unit Award, and the Navy Unit Commendation. He has earned the Combat Action Badge, British and Canadian Foreign Airborne Wings and Master Parachute Badge with one combat jump star.
