Restoration Activities
Case: LCP Chemical Georgia, GA
Under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act
(CERCLA), state and federal natural resource trustees are responsible for
making the environment and public whole for injuries to natural resources and
natural resource services resulting from the release of hazardous substances.
After injury assessments are complete, the trustees, in cooperation with
Honeywell, International, will develop a draft natural resource damage
assessment and restoration plan for the LCP waste site. The plan will describe
potential resource injury and service losses resulting from hazardous substance
releases as well as restoration projects identified and evaluated to address
them.
The trustees and Honeywell are developing a list of potential restoration ideas
and projects. We invite you to read the
Restoration Planning Announcement,
Note to Respondents, and
Project Information Sheet and submit restoration project ideas as part
of the restoration planning process.
