LANCE AIRS Level 2 sample data with updated algorithm software (Version 6) available

Initial LANCE AIRS PGE testing with updated algorithm software (Version 6) has been completed and one-day LANCE AIRS NRT Version 6 sample data is available on the GES DISC LANCE FTP site in a directory labelled "Sample_V6_Data" (ftp://discnrt1.gesdisc.eosdis.nasa.gov/ftp/data/s4pa/Aqua_AIRS_NRT/Sample_V6_Data or ftp://discnrt2.gesdisc.eosdis.nasa.gov/ftp/data/s4pa/Aqua_AIRS_NRT/Sample_V6_Data). The sample data include 3 types of level 2 products on January 29, 2013: AIRX2RET_NRT (near-real-time standard retrieval product), AIRICCF_NRT (near-real-time cloud-cleared product), and AIRX2SUP_NRT (near-real-time support product). Each product has the core HDF file and the corresponding metadata file and browse image file if applied. These are sample data generated with V6 PGEs in testing and pending final data set documentation, LANCE users are welcome to look at them and start to get familiar with the new version product. More information, including full documentation, will be available as the transition to routine processing of Version 6 approaches.
