Captain David A. Alpar
Commander and Conductor of the United States Air Force Band of Liberty, entered the United States Air Force in October of 2001. As an enlisted member of the United States Air Force Band of the West, he performed in nine different ensembles and served as Principal Trumpet soloist of the concert band and Gateway Brass. He received his Air Force commission through Officer Training School in Montgomery, Alabama, and in February of 2005 was assigned as Deputy Commander and Associate Conductor of the United States Air Force Band of Flight, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH. In January 2007, he was hand-selected to serve as Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff, Air Force Materiel Command. His outstanding performance in that position led to his early selection as commander of the Band of Liberty in October of 2007.
