MILITARY HOSPITAL OUTREACH PROGRAM (MHOP)

The American Red Cross Fort Bragg, NC provides volunteer and material support to wounded, ill or injured service members, veterans and their family members who are receiving in-patient or out-patient care at WAMC.

Support for the recovery and rehabilitation of service members, as they prepare to return to duty or transition into civilian life, is a key initiative of the hospital program. In collaboration with military command, the Red Cross identifies sustainable programs to support military members, veterans, and their family members.  In recent years, the WAMC ARC Office has provided volunteer services for WAMC, memory enhancing games and software for individual patients, electronic equipment for Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy, and furniture for the Surgical Waiting Room (2N).
