Crane's EW/IO Center provides nationally recognized intellectual leadership, offering practical solutions across the entire electromagnetic spectrum to current and future generations of Warfighters. As the NAVSEA Center of Excellence for Electronic Warfare, Crane has a critical mass of co-located personnel and secured facilities that provide responsive, affordable, total lifecycle leadership. Crane's experts are innovators of leading-edge technical solutions employed by Air, Ground, and Maritime Domains for the joint and coalition forces.

Crane's Special Missions Center is the go-to source for the elite Warrior who requires solutions that are expertly delivered and deployed to ensure safe and effective missions. Crane delivers specialized training and support for the advanced Warrior, providing a decisive advantage in sensors and communications, mobility and maneuverability, special munitions and weapons. Crane is known for rapid transition of technology, integrating threat assessment, proven solutions and risk management with product deployment and training. A commitment to total lifecycle leadership coupled with co-located personnel and facilities gives NSWC Crane a unique ability to accelerate its response to the Warfighter practically and affordably.

Crane's Strategic Missions team delivers innovative technical solutions to deter and defend against aggression and defeat threats worldwide. Crane's Strategic Missions experts and preeminent facilities provide high reliability electronics and sensors for successful global deterrence and ballistic missile defense. In fact, every ballistic missile in U.S. arsenal carries key components developed or supported by Crane. Crane is dedicated to developing and deploying the technology that ensures that weapons systems are fully reliable and always available to the Warfighter.

Mission

Provide acquisition engineering, in-service engineering and technical support for sensors, electronics, electronic warfare and special warfare weapons. Apply component and system level product and industrial engineering to surface sensors, strategic systems, special warfare devices and electronic warfare/information operations systems. Execute other responsibilities as assigned by the Commander, Naval Surface Warfare Center.

Crane will become DoD's premier engineering, acquisition, and sustainment organization.
