The Warning Decision Training Branch (WDTB) develops and delivers training on the integrated elements of the warning process involving a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)/National Weather Service (NWS) forecast office and its partners. WDTB instructors develop and deliver a variety of in-residence, teletraining, and on-line asynchronous training content to meet this mission. Our primary goal is to increase expertise among NOAA/NWS personnel and their core partners so that they can better serve the public during warning operations.
To encourage the application of WSR-88D Dual-Polarization Radar information in NWS Weather Forecast Offices (WFOs), WDTB has started a series of Dual-Pol "Storm of the Month" webinars. These webinars are short (15 minute presentations with 15 minutes of Q&A afterwards) and focus on a single event or topic. For more information, visit the Storm of the Month Webinars web page.
Each webinar is archived and available for anyone to view. NWS employees should launch the course using the cyan "Launch Course" buttons in order to receive completion credit. All other users can use the orange "Launch" buttons to view the webinar.
