Printable Fact Sheet
The Equal Opportunity office is responsible for processing Equal Employment Opportunity and EO complaints of discrimination filed by current and former federal civilian employees, applicants for civilian employment, active duty members, their family members and retirees alleging discrimination based on race, color, sex, sexual harassment, religion, age, national origin, (last two categories for civilians only) disability, and retaliation for participation in previous EEO protected activity. Serviced activities includes the United States Transportation Command, Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Defense Commissary Agency, Air Force Communications Agency, 932nd Airlift Wing, 375th Airl Mobility Wing and a significant number of other Air Force field operating agencies and direct reporting units.
The EO Director is chief advisor to the base senior leaders on all matters concerning discrimination. Counselors advise complainants of their rights and obligations under the process and conduct impartial data-gathering, clarifications or fact-finding inquiries and with the intent of early resolution. If needed, a civilian complaint is formally adjudicated, which includes investigation, final agency decision or hearing and ultimately a decision by the courts. The equal opportunity director serves as the alternate dispute resolution champion for Scott addressing and resolving workplace disputes.
