BEFORE YOU BEGIN:

The Senate Appropriations Committee receives requests each year for local project funding. Senators provide these requests along with the required supporting documents to the committee for consideration. The Appropriations Committee considers several factors including: alternative sources of funding that might be available, previous federal funding, and ability to leverage state, local and private dollars. It is important to recognize only a small percentage of these projects will receive federal funding, and the projects funded may not receive the full amount requested.

In order for your request to be considered by Senator Cochran and the Senate Appropriations Committee, the entire form below must be completed in full. Some portions of this form may be made public.

NOTE: Please use your best judgment when filling out the form. Information can always be added at the end of the form. Most projects are not programmatic. If you request that this form be submitted to both Sen. Cochran and Sen. Wicker’s offices, you should mark the project as a joint request if prompted later in the form.

Project requests will not be considered unless they are submitted online by March 5, 2010. Submission of this form does not ensure funding.
