USO Volunteer of the Year
One way we show our gratitude for the incredible dedication of our USO volunteers is by recognizing those who have gone above and beyond in supporting our troops. We honor these outstanding individuals who demonstrate their commitment to our mission with the USO Volunteer of the Year award.
We receive nominations each quarter from our four main operating regions (Stateside, Europe, Southwest Asia, and the Pacific). A Volunteer of the Year from each of these areas is then selected from all the quarterly nominees, with an organization-wide USO Volunteer of the Year eventually determined from this group and honored at our annual Gala.
While the USO Board of Governors instituted the USO Volunteer of the Year program as a way to formally recognize the dedication, hard work, and service of our tens of thousands of volunteers, every USO center celebrates its volunteers in many ways to show gratitude for the way they make little miracles happen every day.
