In accordance with AR 40-66, narrative summaries, operation reports, consultations, progress notes, physicals and the patient’s medical history will be typed and placed in inpatient treatment records of all patients admitted to this MEDCEN. In some instances this will be done in outpatient treatment records as well.
MISSION
The mission of the medical transcription section is to provide adequate and correct medicolegal documents to include narrative summaries, operation reports, clinic procedures, cardiac catheterization reports, medical board summaries, and consultations from the Outreach Program and in-house which are placed in outpatient and inpatient treatment records. We insure that documents are medically, grammatically and legally correct. We adhere to the privacy act in typing and distributing documents to the best of our ability.
