The Physical Therapy Service provides comprehensive care to inpatients and outpatients for sports medicine and orthopaedic problems. Patients are primarily adults except for pediatric orthopaedic patients. Inpatient and outpatient

Physical Therapy is provided for patients with total joint replacements, amputations, surgical reconstructions/repairs, and musculoskeletal injuries. Only inpatient Physical Therapy is provided for medical, oncology, neurology, cardiac, and non-orthopaedic surgical patients. The Physical Therapy Section is comprised of 4 active duty physical therapists, 3 civilian physical therapists, and 4 physical therapy technicians/aides. All patients are seen by consult only. Patients need to come dressed appropriately in their PT uniform fifteen minutes prior to their scheduled appointment times.

Outpatient clinic hours are as follows: 0730-1200, 1300-1600 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; 0730-1200, 1345-1600 on Tuesday; 0730-1200, 1300-1500 on Thursday. Once pre-operative patients receive a consult, they may walk in to the clinic from 0900-1100 Monday -Friday for pre-operative care (crutch training as appropriate, exercise review, etc).
