Satellite prints are provided in two formats: 8" x 10" or 11" x 17". The images are printed using the highest quality paper and state of the art color printer, and in most cases in Landscape orientation. In most cases the prints are made directly from the normal resolution (72 DPI) GIF or JPEG files accessable to you in the HSEI system. For selected imagery, however, a high resolution version of the image (150+ DPI) may be available in our off-line archives. These images will have an next to their description. When available a high resolution image will always be used to produce a higher quality print for you, at no additional charge. In addition, if a high resolution version of the image is available off-line, you have the option of ordering this high resolution digital file (email with instructions on where to retrieve (FTP) the high resolution file are provided after payment). High resolution digital files will be 150-200 DPI and in the TIF image format. If you have other questions regarding the HSEI system, or would like information on ordering tailored hardcopy imagery which you don't see in HSEI, please contact the NCDC Satellite Services Group at ncdc.satorder@noaa.gov.
