First Sergeant Renee Iniguez, a native of Brewton, Alabama, entered the United States Army in November 1991 at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, where she completed Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training as an Administrative Specialist (71L).
First Sergeant Iniguez has served in a variety of leadership positions, to include: DoD Regional Center Senior Enlisted Leader, Platoon Sergeant, Drill Sergeant, and currently a Basic Combat Training Company First Sergeant. Her assignments include Officer Management Division, Theater Army Replacement Operations, 8th Army, Camp Coiner, Korea; 18th Personnel Group (Airborne) and Dragon Brigade, XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, NC; Special Operations Command, MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL; Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, Belgium; Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Pentagon, Washington, DC; George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany; and 3/34th Infantry Regiment, Fort Jackson, SC. First Sergeant Iniguez is currently serving in Bravo Company, 1/61st Infantry Regiment, Fort Jackson, SC.
First Sergeant Iniguez is a graduate of various military courses to include the Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, Drill Sergeant School, EO Leaders Course, Unit Victim Advocate Course, Combat Lifesaver Course, and the Basic Army Instructor Course. Her awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (1 OLC), the Joint Service Commendation Medal (3 OLC), the Army Commendation Medal (1 OLC), the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), the Good Conduct Medal (6th), the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (3), Army Service Ribbon, and the Overseas Service Ribbon (# 3). First Sergeant Iniguez’ other decorations include the Office of the Secretary of Defense Identification Badge, the Drill Sergeant Badge and the Joint Meritorious Unit Award. First Sergeant Iniguez is the recipient of the Horatio Gates Medal (Bronze).
