Rear Admiral (sel) Lawrence Creevy
Commander, Naval Surface Warfare Center
Capt. Creevy is a native of Bridgeport, Conn. After graduating from Loomis Chaffee Prep School in 1980, he attended the U.S. Naval Academy, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and was commissioned in 1984. In 1991, he completed his Master's degree in Information Systems Management at George Washington University. Creevy was selected for promotion to the rank of Rear Adm. in May 2011.
Creevy assumed command of the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) in November 2012. The NSWC command includes ten NSWC Division commands manned with active duty personnel and civilian scientists, engineers and support personnel across the United States. NSWC provides research, development, test and evaluation, and engineering support for ship systems; hull, mechanical and electrical systems; and surface ship combat and weapons systems.
His career as a Surface Warfare Officer includes assignments as both Commanding Officer and Executive Officer of USS Portland (LSD 37), Chief Engineer aboard USS Anchorage (LSD 36) and Damage Control Assistant aboard USS Kiska (AE 35).
Creevy's major command and staff assignments include: U.S. Fleet Forces Command Fleet Maintenance Officer (most recently), Executive Assistant to Commander, Naval Sea Systems Command, and a major acquisition command tour as Major Program Manager for the Above Water Sensors Directorate (PEO IWS 2.0).
He has served ashore in a variety of acquisition program management positions including: Deputy Program Manager for the Integrated Combat Systems Directorate (PEO Integrated Warfare Systems (IWS) 1.0), Amphibious Ship Integration Program Manager (PEO IWS 1.0), In-Service Radar Chief Engineer for the Above Water Sensors Directorate (PEO IWS 2.0), Platform Integration Manager for the Performance Monitoring, Training and Assessment Program Office (PEO Expeditionary Warfare), and Tomahawk Weapon Control System Advanced Systems Engineer (PEO Cruise Missiles and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles).
Creevy is a recipient of various awards including the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, as well as the Battle "E" and other campaign and sea service awards.

Donald McCormack
Acting Technical Director, NSWC
Donald F. McCormack, a member of the Senior Executive Service
since September 2001, was appointed as the Technical Director (TD) for the Naval
Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in November 2004. As TD, Mr. McCormack directs
technical activities at NUWC sites in the United States and at its major test
ranges worldwide. He is responsible for the planning and execution of a broad
range of technical programs that involve over 4,000 employees and an annual
budget of over $1B.
Effective April 4, 2012, Mr. McCormack assumed additional duties as Acting
Technical Director, Naval Surface Warfare Center, responsible for eight
divisions with nearly 15,000 employees with a budget of $6B.
Prior to his assignment as NUWC TD, Mr. McCormack served as the Director for
Undersea Warfare Command and Control (USW CC) Systems Product Area, an
assignment he accepted in October 2003. As Director for USW CC, he became the
Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) focal point, leader, and advocate for all USW
CC Systems and represented the product area (PA) to customers.
Mr. McCormack had served as Executive Director of the Naval Undersea Warfare
Center Division, Newport from May 2002 until his assignment in October 2003 as
USW CC PAD. In this position, he was responsible for the overall planning and
direction of the scientific and technical activities related to the U.S. Navy's
USW systems.
From September 2001 until May 2002, Mr. McCormack was Director for Weapon
Systems, responsible for a broad program of exploratory and advanced
development, test and evaluation (T&E), Fleet introduction, and complete life
cycle support for undersea weapon systems.
During his career, Mr. McCormack has been the recipient of many awards for
outstanding performance, receiving the Distinguished Presidential Rank Award in
2010 and the Meritorious Presidential Rank Award in 2005. In July 1998, he
received a Meritorious Civilian Service Award for his technical excellence while
assigned to the NAVSEA Submarine Technology Office. In August 2001, he received
his second Meritorious Civilian Service Award for his management excellence
while serving as the acting Deputy Program Manager at PMS404. In 2008, Mr.
McCormack received the Society of Women Engineers’ Rodney D. Chipp Memorial
Award and the Rhode Island Federal Executive Council’s Bud Gifford Leadership
Award. Mr. McCormack was the recipient of the Department of the Navy Superior
Civilian Service Award in 2008.
Mr. McCormack earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth in 1985.
