Major General Suzanne M. "Zan" Vautrinot - Commander, 24th Air Force

Maj Gen Suzanne M. "Zan" Vautrinot is the commander, 24th Air Force; and commander, Air Forces Cyber; and commander, Air Force Network Operations, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. General Vautrinot is responsible for the Air Force's component numbered air force providing combatant commanders with trained and ready cyber forces which plan and conduct cyberspace operations. Twenty-fourth Air Force personnel extend, maintain, and defend the Air Force portion of the Department of Defense global network. The general directs the activities of three operational cyber wings, two headquartered at Lackland, and one at Robins AFB, Ga., as well as the 624th Operations Center at Lackland.

Dr. Peter M. Fonash (Invited) - Department of Homeland Security

Dr. Peter M. Fonash is currently the chief technology officer for the Department of Homeland Security’s Assistant Secretary for CS&C. He has been a member of the Senior Executive Service since 1998.

Prior to this appointment, Dr. Fonash was deputy manager and director of the National Communications System (NCS), serving nine months as the acting deputy manager and then becoming the full-time director in April 2005. From 1998 until July 2004, Dr. Fonash was the chief of the NCS technology and programs division. He managed priority communications services technology development, network modeling and analysis, specialized telecommunications research and development, and priority services standards.

Brig Gen (ret) Guy Walsh - Advisor to the Deputy Commander, US Cyber Command

Mr. Guy Walsh is the advisor to the deputy commander, US Cyber Command, Fort Meade, MD. He was recently appointed as senior manager for the newly formed CYBERCOM Guard and Reserve Directorate, where he works with OSD, service components, and the National Guard Bureau in the development of strategy and policy for Reserve Component support to US Cyber Command. Prior to assuming his current role, he served as the J-3 lead for Strategic Initiatives. In this role, Mr.Walsh acted as the principal advisor to the CYBERCOM Director of Operations on Readiness and Training and the development of Reserve Component cyber capability.

Global Cyber Risk CEO Jody Westby brings a seasoned, multidisciplinary perspective to the many issues facing businesses and governments today in the areas of privacy, information security, outsourcing/offshoring risks, cybercrime, and IT business risk management. Drawing upon more than twenty years of technical, legal, policy, and business experience, she regularly consults with governments, private sector-executives, and operational personnel on the development of enterprise security programs that dovetail the technical, legal, operational, and managerial considerations.

Mr. Joe Weiss - Applied Control Solutions, LLC

Joseph Weiss is an industry expert on control systems and electronic security of control systems, with more than 35 years of experience in the energy industry. Mr. Weiss spent more than 14 years at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) where he led a variety of programs including the Nuclear Plant Instrumentation and Diagnostics Program, the Fossil Plant Instrumentation & Controls Program, the Y2K Embedded Systems Program and, the cyber security for digital control systems.
